27th Annual Moon the Amtrak

on the 2nd Saturday of July for 27 years there has been a mooning of the Amtrak in front of a little place called Mugs Away Saloon in Laguna Niguel.

So we heard about this said mooning going on and a dozen of us headed off that morning in search of the epic moon showings. Why, why do they do it? Let us seek to understand that which drives the desire to drop your knickers 'n flash the Amtrak.

Why you ask? Twenty seven years ago (1979), at The Mugs Away Saloon, a K.T.Smith told his buddies he'd buy a drink for all who would run outside to the rail road tracks and "moon" the next train, which many did.

and simply the mooning tradition has prevailed...

...what else but check out the bands, check out the people....

Tradition carries on but there is no longer a volunteer to buy free drinks for thousands of "Mooners"...there are however enthusiastic fellows willing to give free shooters to enthusiastic ladies!
